AN REM HOLIDAY WEEKEND!

Posted by Infonistacrat on Friday, July 3rd, 2009

I’m sitting here in the Detroit airport, waiting on my wifes plane to get in from Cali, and decided that instead of working, it would be better to listen to some music, write up a post, and have a little fun. I can only take work so long, and besides, everyone else in my [...]

SHUFFLING THE iPOD, DAY 3

Posted by Infonistacrat on Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

Last day in a hotel room for a few days…tomorrow, I am heading home. Sometimes, even with the roughest of jobs, you get a week where the stars align, the universe opens up, and everything goes well. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it’s a beautiful thing. And make no [...]

BACK TO THE FUTURE, I GUESS

Posted by Infonistacrat on Monday, June 29th, 2009

Well, I had the new theme up for a bit, but there were a few tweaks I just could not get worked out. Mainly, I simply could not get it to work with Wordpress Stats. There were a few other things that kind of bugged the hell out of me, that I could [...]

IT CAME FROM THE 90′S HOLIDAY WEEKEND, DAY 1

Posted by Infonistacrat on Saturday, August 30th, 2008

Happy holiday weekend, everyone…the holiday designated to pacify the labor force in the US with one day off. Very gracious. But, you know, I’ll take it.

Today’s list is actually my “best of” of a series called “It Came From The Nineties” over at Can You See The Sunset On The South Side. The reason I love his series so much is that he steps out of the typical rock only lists, and included some seriously good tunes from other genre’s. Tunes I had long forgotten about. So over the next few days, I’ll be picking out some tunes I haven’t played here, or at least not played in a long while. Enjoy!

  1. Squirrel Nut Zippers – Hell
  2. L7 – Pretend We’re Dead
  3. Folk Implosion – Natural One
  4. Ned’s Atomic Dustbin – Grey Cell Green
  5. Snow – Informer
  6. Primus – Jerry Was A Race Car Driver
  7. Garbage – Not My Idea
  8. Wreckx N’ Effort – Rump Shaker
  9. Lifehouse – Hanging By A Moment
  10. Helmet – Unsung

    @Michael:

Much appreciated! I didn’t realize how freaked and uptight I was by it all until I was a little more relaxed.

And as for being slow…trust me…I’m all down with that! Just ask my wife, I’m pretty sure she could give you a whole rundown on how slow I am. :-)
