The Music Blog of the Infonistacrat!

AN REM HOLIDAY WEEKEND!

Posted by Infonistacrat on Friday, July 3rd, 2009

I’m sitting here in the Detroit airport, waiting on my wifes plane to get in from Cali, and decided that instead of working, it would be better to listen to some music, write up a post, and have a little fun. I can only take work so long, and besides, everyone else in my [...]

SHUFFLING THE iPOD, DAY 3

Posted by Infonistacrat on Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

Last day in a hotel room for a few days…tomorrow, I am heading home. Sometimes, even with the roughest of jobs, you get a week where the stars align, the universe opens up, and everything goes well. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it’s a beautiful thing. And make no [...]

BACK TO THE FUTURE, I GUESS

Posted by Infonistacrat on Monday, June 29th, 2009

Well, I had the new theme up for a bit, but there were a few tweaks I just could not get worked out. Mainly, I simply could not get it to work with Wordpress Stats. There were a few other things that kind of bugged the hell out of me, that I could [...]

PLEASE EXCUSE TODAYS MISSING MUSIC…

Posted by Infonistacrat on Tuesday, August 26th, 2008

I’m writing this at the hospital (Free wi-fi! Yipee!), and I was just told my wife is doing just fine, and is resting comfortably in post-op. So you know, if nothing else goes my way today, it’s already the best day I’ve had in a long time. Now begins what seems like the infinite wait until we hear what path our lives take in the next year. The road to the left leads down a road of peace, happiness and contentment, at least until the next time. The road on the right…well, that’s a road that a bit rougher, and one we’ve been down before. That’s the rough road of chemo and hair loss. Of radiation and weekly trips to the cancer center. It’s the road that has no lights and seems perpetually dark. It’s a road that scare the living hell out of me every day, and like those access roads that run parallel to highways, it always seems to be too damn close.

Anyway, for today, everything is great. But alas, this is just an update on my personal situation for anyone who may care. For those that don’t, no problem, the music will be back tomorrow.

fucking hell, all the best to your wife, been on that road with my mum and it’s a scary place, but positive attitude and good medical support and there is light at the end. Hope everything goes well.

Thanks mate, I appreciate the good thoughts, as does the wife. She has a bit of a headache this morning, but other than that, feels pretty decent. As I said, now it’s just that fucking wait for the test results.

She’s home, which is a nice thing. I have her tucked comfortably on the couch with the remote control, a comfy blanket (it’s a little chilled here today..),her favorite cat, and some delicious See’s candy! Her son flies in tomorrow to spend the week with us, making it all the better. Thanks for the kind words.

Hey man, I’ll take all the help with the big man I can get! I know he and I have been talked ALOT recently. The worst part really is knowing that I have no control over anything. There are very few times in life where one is absolutely helpless…this is definitely one of them.

    @Mac:

Thanks for the kind words. If we have to, we definitely know how to slay the beast…we’ve had to do it 3 times so far in the last 12 years. That dragon stands NO chance man!

I’m just now getting to this because I have been navigating my own rough roads of late.

All the best to you and your wife. We’ll all be looking forward to some good news. Hugs all around.

Well, the great news is that we got the results this morning, and we are clear this time. It’s been a rough month. That’s all I got to say about that. I hope some of the goodness comes over your way now.

Best wishes, hope everything goes well, from Lanarkshire in Scotland (land of eternal rain).
