SONGS SO GREAT YOUR HEAD WILL EXPLODE! DAY 2

July 13th, 2008 · No Comments

Happy Sunday! I’m busy packing my bag for yet another week on the road. I’m heading back to Pittsburgh for work for the week. It’s going to be a long month and a half…I come home for a week, and then head to Boulder, Colorado for a training class. Then it’s back to Pittsburgh for a couple more weeks. In between, I also need to find some time to get away and visit my family back in Ohio. So there you go…a busy summer. It’s ironic…the music from today’s post is from a time in my life when summers were meant for hanging out with my friends, playing basketball, listening to great tunes and generally having fun. Somehow, without realizing it, I went from that to measuring my time by milestones on a critical and the number of days in a hotel. Back then I had a job, and I came home, and forgot about it, because I knew it would start all over again the next day. Now, I have a career.

Anyway, enjoy the tunes. If you were lucky enough to have come of age in the 80’s (I graduated high school in 1982…a very nice year, thank you!), then maybe this music will remind you of those great days from summers that lasted forever. I know it does it for me every time. And if you weren’t so lucky, then take my word…it was the best of times to be young…music was undergoing a fundamental revolution, and it was one hell of a scene. Enjoy!
