AN REM HOLIDAY WEEKEND!

Posted by Infonistacrat on Friday, July 3rd, 2009

I’m sitting here in the Detroit airport, waiting on my wifes plane to get in from Cali, and decided that instead of working, it would be better to listen to some music, write up a post, and have a little fun. I can only take work so long, and besides, everyone else in my [...]

SHUFFLING THE iPOD, DAY 3

Posted by Infonistacrat on Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

Last day in a hotel room for a few days…tomorrow, I am heading home. Sometimes, even with the roughest of jobs, you get a week where the stars align, the universe opens up, and everything goes well. It doesn’t happen often, but when it does, it’s a beautiful thing. And make no [...]

BACK TO THE FUTURE, I GUESS

Posted by Infonistacrat on Monday, June 29th, 2009

Well, I had the new theme up for a bit, but there were a few tweaks I just could not get worked out. Mainly, I simply could not get it to work with Wordpress Stats. There were a few other things that kind of bugged the hell out of me, that I could [...]

GREAT 80′S POST PUNK AND NEW WAVE HITS

Posted by Infonistacrat on Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

Today has been a brutally long day of reading emails and catching up at work. Oh, and going back to the stupid dentist. The worst part of growing old isn’t the knees going bad, or loosing my memory (neither is true). Nor is it all the gray hair. That just makes me look, ahem, distinguished. Yeah, thats it. The worst part of growing old is my damn teeth. In the past year, I’ve had two root canals, two crowns, a cracked tooth, and an extraction. And in the coming months, I have to get a stupid implant. And before you ask, yes, I get regular teeth cleanings, I bush, and I floss. According to the dentist, some people just have bad “teeth genes”. Go figure.

Anyway, the highlight of my day was listening to some good tunes in the dentist chair. Below is some of what I was listening to. Lately, I’ve had a huge thing for The Jam and The Jesus & Mary Chain. Also, if you notice, I have a Gun Club cut here. You all know by now my absolute love of Gun Clubs first album, Fire of Love. Almost as good is their second album, Miami. Both are worthy of spending hard earned cash on. Trust me, you cannot go wrong with any album Jeffrey Lee Pierce wails on. Bad Indian sums it all up very nicely. The dude was an amazing talent. And sorely missed. Enjoy!

  1. Gang of Four – Naturals Not In It
  2. Glass Moon – Simon
  3. Gun Club – Bad Indian
  4. Heaven 17 – Temptation
  5. Housemartins – Caravan of Love
  6. Hoodoo Gurus – Tojo
  7. Human League – Human
  8. Joe Jackson – It’s Different For Girls
  9. The Jam – Liza Radley
  10. The Jesus & Mary Chain – April Skies
