2:00 PM Site update: I’ve restored all the posts for this month, and tested them, so next I’ll start last months posts.
Second day of the fabulous 80’s alternative list I found out on the internet. Great tunes all around. Today, I should be able to start getting the old posts back on line. I’ll be going back from newer to older, and each day I’ll try to post how far back I’ve gotten. As I started working on this yesterday, it became very apparent how long it’s going to take to get everything back together.
On a separate note, tomorrow, I’m going to start a new feature on the sight. You’ll have to let me know what you think of it. Here’s the deal. I’ve been wanting to add some video on the sight for a while, but you know, thats done everywhere, and I kind of want to somehow set myself apart. So, I’ll post the video on the sight if you want to watch it, and then I’ll be posting a link to an iPod compatible version of it so you can have that as well. The video’s I post will mirror the music I have on the site, so if you enjoy the music I put up, you should enjoy the videos.
Enjoy the music, I’m (still) making like a duck and paddling madly below the surface.

The restoration sounds like a lot of hard work.
The video idea sounds interesting. What exactly is “iPod-compatible” video? (I ask out of purely selfish reasons — I have a video-capable Zaurus PDA that’s happiest with 320×240 AVI/MPG.)

Stephen, the video is 320×240 mp4, which is what iPod videos use. Let me see if I can also generate a mpg version as well…that should cover just about everyone! If you don’t mind doing me a favor and letting me know if it works or not, I would REALLY appreciate it!

Oh, MP4 should be fine. If not, I can convert it with ffmpeg or mplayer. (I always find converting the format to be a lot easier and less fiddly than resizing.)

And of course I’ll be happy to report back!

Thanks Stephen, I appreciate the help. I’m hoping that by providing a downloadable version, it’ll be a little more interesting than just putting up videos.
