SOME PUNK, POST PUNK AND NEW WAVE TREATS!
Nothing says travel to me like some great music. I’m heading back home today, after what I hope is a relaxing week in Chicago. (I’m actually writing this on Sunday) Today, I thought I would put up some of my favorite punk, post punk, and new wave hits. Of course, these aren’t my absolute favorite favorites…those change from day to day. But the are some beauties here. Magazine, Boomtown Rats, The Jam, Buzzcocks, The Members, The Vapors. Great bands all.
And for my favorite reader, I thought I would put The Psychedelic Furs Pretty In Pink. No, it’s not the Furs greatest song. But I love the vocals, and the song isn’t THAT bad, is it? I think I know the answer to that one even before I asked the question!

The frenetic bass in Jam’s “Down in the Tube ….” is a perfect wake-me-up. Thanks for another great list and have a safe trip home.
