PURE POST-PUNK HITS
First there was punk in the 70’s, and all was good with the world. Later, in the 80’s, there was new wave, and we all looked around, and decided that was good to, and we rejoyed. But somewhere in between, there was post-punk, and while it has the word punk in it, it’s definitely not punk. It was inspired by punk, and it was soon morphed into new wave, but really, it doesn’t share a whole lot with either. But it too was very good, and the people loved it.
Post-punk was far more artsy, far more adventurous than punk. Sometimes it was guitar driven, sometimes it was synth driven. And some of the post-punk pioneers, like New Order and Scritti Politti and the Cure later became mainstays of the new wave sound, post-punk was a seperate and distinct sound. A sound I hope you will like as much as I do. Enjoy!

Thank you so much for Life Without Buildings. I heard this on a John Peel show way back when and tried to get a copy (back in those pre-net days when that involved trawling record shops). Wonderful to hear it again!
And very good taste, sir!
