I think I’m going to finish out the year on a new wave kick, unless someone has a better idea. Nothing is more fun than 80’s new wave…just the words ring to mind big shoulder pads, big hair, white guys dancing very badly with lower lip safely tucked between their teeth. Maybe some leg warmers and cut up sweatshirts. Even bad movies, like 16 Candles or The Breakfast Club. For some odd reason, when I hear some of these songs, Molly Ringwald pops into my head. Odd, huh? Enjoy the weekend, and get ready for a new year. Oh joy.

Ah, “Something About You” by Level 42. That was and is a great song, but I remember it best for the video — very typical of the period, sort of low budget, set at an English country house, with a mime or clown hamming it up as I recall. I should watch it on Youtube, but I can’t be bothered. Still, it was charming, and certainly better than this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fR0j7sModCI
or this (the WORST video ever): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fR0j7sModCI

OK, Krasker, you made me look…now I have to wash my eyes out with bleach. Thanks a lot!
Infonistacrat - I think ending up the year on a New Wave kick is a very good idea, indeed.
Thanks for all of the great music.
