Day three of my posts inspired by the “The Brit Box: U.K. Indie, Shoegaze, and Brit-Pop Gems of the Last Millennium” boxset. Todays list is not really what I would term the strongest of the lists so far. It seems that sometime about 1994 or 95, a lot of the bands that got airplay all started sounding a lot like Oasis, which I suppose some would consider good. Me, not so much. I’ve never really been a fan…first, the music isn’t good enough to have the attitude the Gallaghers had. To me, they were a couple of pucks who deserved a good kick in the arse. But thats me.
No, if you want to talk about the best of todays list, thats a no brainer. James’ Laid and Elastica’s Stutter. Elastica had to be the most under-rated band of the 90’s. Justine Frischmann could wail with the best of the female post-punk vocalists. And Stutter, their fist hit, is just a great rocker. Enjoy!
- New Order — Regret
- James Laid
- Nick Heyward - The Man You Used To Be
- The Boo Radleys - Lazarus
- Saint Etienne - Down By The Sea
- Stereolab - Miss Modular
- Blur - Tracy Jacks
- Oasis - Live Forever
- Pulp - Common People
- Mega City Four - Anne Bancroft
- Echobelly - Car Fiction
- Gene - Sick Sober And Sorry
- Supergrass - Alright
- Cast - Alright
- Elastica - Stutter

@amoeba:
Let me take a look and fix it if it is on my end. With the trouble I’ve had this years with my ISP, it probably is on my end.
