Today I bring you the goodness that was Woodstock. I got the inspiration while reading the wikipedia entry for Woodstock. I’ve seen the film several times…in fact, it sits in my dvd collection. For some reason though, it never really hit me how crazy great that weekend must have been. Go take a look at the play list from the concert, and you’ll see what I mean.
So today, I bring you songs that were played at Woodstock, by some of the greats of rock history. While I threw 15 songs out here today, I literally could put 50 on here, and still not scratch the surface. A work of warning though…The Country Joe and the Fish song starts with less than safe for work cheers. So turn it down a little for that song, then crank it back up! Country Joe, Canned Heat, Janis Joplin, Creedence, The Who, Crosby, Stills and Nash, and I left off some other greats like Hendrix. With a lineup like that you can’t go wrong!
- Country Joe And The Fish - Fixin’ to Die Rag
- Canned Heat - Going Up The Country
- Janis Joplin - Summertime
- Janis Joplin - Ball And Chain
- Sly And The Family Stone - Dance To The Music
- Sly And The Family Stone - Everyday People
- Creedence Clearwater Revival - Born on the Bayou
- Creedence Clearwater Revival - Proud Mary
- Creedence Clearwater Revival - Bad Moon Rising
- The Who - Pinball Wizard
- The Who - My Generation
- Jefferson Airplane - Somebody to Love
- Jefferson Airplane - White Rabbit
- Crosby, Stills and Nash - Marrakesh Express.MP3
- Crosby, Stills and Nash - Wooden Ships

“With a lineup like that you can’t go wrong!”I couldn’t have said it better myself. This is a great site, and I can’t wait to see what else you put up. And if you have time, check out LuxuriaMusic.com. They specialize in vintage music, I think you could really dig it. They seem to have really figured out the mystery to great music and of course amazing make-out tunes.
