Today is a special playlist for a special girl. Pretty soon, she is going to be going to France for a few months, and I will miss her dearly. I have know her forever and yet for only a breaths length. So this is for her, some of her favorites, and hopefully, when she gets back, she will be even more amazing and more wonderful. Bon chance, mon ami! Too bad your going to miss the Indians and the Cubs in the World Series!

I started to listen to the Cold War Kids earlier this year, and played them a lot actually, then for some reason, they completely fell off my radar screen for awhile. For some reason, We Used To Vacation talks to me in ways I really don’t want to talk about. Great songs are like that, I suppose, and this is definitely one of them.

The Thermals I just started listening to actually, though how I ever missed them is beyond me. I love that old time garage rock sound, and these guys have it down to a tee. You can bet I am going to be listening to a lot more of these guys for a long time to come!

Rilo Kiley is also someone I just recently started to listen to, though I had actually heard some of their stuff a long time back. A Better Son Daughter is another song that makes me think a lot. I like to be inside my own head a lot if you can’t tell! Trust me, it’s kind of a scary place to be at times.

Jack Johnson and Frou Frou are all for her. I know she loves Frou Frou as well as Jack Johnson. I know they may be a little mellow, but sometimes, you need to just sit back and relax and enjoy the mellow stuff. Life’s too damn busy and goes by too fast anyhow.
