Man oh man, I love me some Modest Mouse. I was introduced to these guys in the 90’s by a friend who thought I would like them, and were they ever correct! Isaac Brock is an amazing singer/songwriter whose lyrics are deep and wide in meaning, set to amazing musical arrangements. I will admit that sometimes the songs can devolve into monotonous jams and trance music, but the songs are so strong and so good that I neither notice nor mind. If your not familiar with Modest Mouse, you really need to be! Use this as a primer, and then go out and buy yourself some of their cds, because as good as the songs in this post are, the recordings are even better.

Todays songs come from a website I found sometime ago called Modest Mouse Live. The site lists several concert recordings that span the history of the band. I have chosen what I consider to be the best of the concert recordings, made sometime in Spring 2004 at the Paramount in Seattle Washington.
